Roadway Moving has locations in New York City and Los Angeles. The company can handle local and long distance moves, and also offers storage. Roadway uses flat rate pricing, so we were unable to get hourly or mileage rates. We found the quotes we requested to be in line with local and long distance averages, and they included services like packing.
Flat rate quotes aren’t unheard of, but it’s definitely not the norm for most moving companies. We think Roadway’s pricing is more beneficial if you’re moving across the country since you’ll be able to take full advantage of the flat rate.

Roadway Moving Pricing
We request a quote from Roadway Moving on their website. While the company wouldn’t give us a detailed final quote without a full item inventory, they did provide the following estimates:
- Local move (within New York City): $2k—$3k
- Long-distance move (NY to CA): $6k—$7k
Both quotes included one truck, three movers, and furniture wrapping. We weren’t quoted an hourly or mileage rate because Roadway uses flat rate pricing.
